Student Business Plan Competition Finalists

The Morehouse College Entrepreneurship center sponsors a business plan competition for college students, which is held during Expo 2012. This year’s competition focuses on the creation of applications “Apps” for smart phones.

Students of all majors were encouraged to submit a concise and clear document outlining an “App” idea to solve an unmeet need. As a note, technical creation of the actual working App was not required. Submission deadline was December 16, 2011.

An application that provides up-to-date and reliable information on the whereabouts of student shuttles on college campuses.

Rhonda Paley, Texas Southern University


An application that teaches users how to achieve the equivalent of a one-mile run in 10 minutes while working within a 36x36 inch space.


TwitChatTM
Marcus Thomas, Jourdon Johnson, & Aaron Ruffin, Georgia Institute of Technology


An application that allows Twitter users to send and receive private, instant messages and media without having to exchange information such as phone numbers or email addresses.


Scout Watch
Markeisha Cassidy-Dawson, Georgia State University


An application that connects high school student athletes nationwide with scouts and recruiters from collegiate athletic programs.

An application that helps high school students preparing to take the SAT solve the problem of vocabulary retention.
