Kimberly June is founder and CEO of Springforward, Inc., a project management training, certification, and IT support services company.

With her team of facilitators, mentors, and Project Management Professionals (PMPs), Ms. June’s core goal is to help individual participants and clients learn and apply the principles of project management according to the industry standard, Project Management Body of Knowledge, or PMBOK.

Courses are available online or in a traditional classroom format and build awareness, help specialize, or prepare participants for the PMP certification exam. Ms. June and her team of PMPs provide support services for the enterprise project management office (PMO) to develop and implement the tools, training, and processes needed to effectively manage projects and programs.

Recently, Ms. June has teamed with the Small Business Resource Center (SBRC) of Baltimore, Maryland to provide, as a community service, project management workshops to small business owners and local business professionals. Ms. June is committed to building project management awareness at all levels, and plans to add advanced certification training to the schedule of courses at the SBRC in 2012.

Prior to launching Springforward, Ms. June held a variety of corporate positions. Ms. June worked with a leading office products company as a sales executive, as an account manager with a small, minority-owned staffing company, both in Maryland, and as a program director with an international education and training company in Washington, DC. The experiences, roles, and skills acquired in the years prior to launching Springforward served as a solid foundation for Ms. June’s direction and focus.

Ms. June received a M.B.A in International Business from Penn State's Smeal College of Business, in 1994 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Penn State in 1991. While in the graduate program, Ms. June studied abroad at the ESADE, one of the top global centers in management in Barcelona, Spain, and interned with Dupont-Merck Pharmaceutical Company in Wilmington, Delaware. Additional education and development accomplishments include “Building a High-Performing Business” at the Tuck School of Business- Executive Education- Dartmouth College, 2008, and certification as a Project Management Professional, PMP, in 2009.

Ms. June lives in Hanover, MD where she manages the daily activities of Springforward, focusing primarily on company planning, marketing, and sales. Outside of work, Ms. June enjoys reading, and outdoor activities, including swimming, biking, and running.
