Captain Mae M. Pouget

Captain Pouget is the Navy Medicine Diversity Officer, Director Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs (M00D/M09B-10).
Captain Pouget entered naval service through the Financial Assistance Program in 1995 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Grove City College, a Doctorate of Medicine from Virginia Commonwealth School of Medicine. She completed her Family Medicine residency training at Polyclinic Medical Center in Harrisburg.
Before her current assignment, Captain Pouget's naval service included Director of Health Services, Naval Health Clinic Corpus Christi, Director of Medical Services, Naval Hospital Beaufort, Staff Physician Naval Hospital Jacksonville, Officer in Charge Troop Medical Clinic #8, Camp Virginia, Kuwait, General Medical Officer Policy and Plans Officer, BUMED, Medical Officer USS GUNSTON HALL (LSD 44), and Staff Physician Naval Hospital Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
Captain Pouget is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Association of Military Surgeons of the United States.
Captain Pouget has been awarded three Meritorious Service Medals, three Navy Commendation Medals and two Navy Achievement Medals.
